Side/Half of a Landrace/Duroc Pig – Pasture-Raised on Non-GMO Feed
$5.75@LBS hang weight (cutting and wrapping, smoking fee paid by customer ,averaging $2@lbs)
Our pigs are a Landrace/Duroc cross, known for their superior flavor and exceptional marbling. Raised on 5 acres of carefully managed pasture using rotational grazing methods, they enjoy a diverse, nutrient-rich environment. We regularly seed the land with clover and other beneficial forages, giving them a natural diet that promotes health and flavor.
These pigs are pasture-raised and supplemented with a non-GMO feed, never confined, never rushed. The result? Deeply marbled pork with rich, integrated fat throughout the muscle, nothing like the dry, flavorless pork you'll find in the grocery store.
Say goodbye to dry pork. Say hello to real flavor, tenderness, and quality you can taste in every bite.
Hanging weight is the weight of the animal after it has been harvested and dressed, but before it is butchered into retail cuts. This includes the meat, bones, and some fat, but excludes the head, hide, blood, and internal organs.
This is the standard weight used when pricing whole or half animals. On average, you can expect to take home about 60–70% of the hanging weight in packaged, usable meat, depending on your cutting preferences (e.g., bone-in vs boneless, amount of fat trimmed, etc.).
Example:
If your pig has a hanging weight of 200 lbs, you'll likely receive about 120–140 lbs of packaged pork, depending on how it's processed.
